What is dysbiosis?
In the context of the gut microbiome, dysbiosis typically refers to an imbalance in the ratio of beneficial to harmful bacteria, which can lead to a variety of health problems, including gastrointestinal disorders, autoimmune disorders, and metabolic diseases. Dairy Status
Visbiome contains trace amounts of milk
Some of the strains of beneficial probiotic bacteria found in in Visbiome are grown in a dairy environment and then blended with the rest of the strains to obtain the Visbiome Formulation.
The bacteria are separated from the growth media however some trace levels of milk can be found in the finished product. Visbiome contains traces of milk in the finished product.
Visbiome is Lactose-Free
Processing methods eliminate lactose even though other milk components are left behind (similar to lactose-free milk). Lactose was not detectable in amounts greater than 50 parts per million (PPM).
If you have sensitivity to dairy, please consult with your healthcare professional prior to taking Visbiome probiotics.
Monash University, the leader in FODMAP research has also officially certified Visbiome as Low FODMAP. FODMAPs are sugars that aren’t absorbed properly in the gut, triggering symptoms in people with IBS and other gut related conditions. Follow this link to learn more about the LOW FODMAP diet.
